Do we only talk to each other *as if* the other is a real person?

Prove that you are not merely a cleverly desgned computer program, android, or devil.
When you give up on that, answer the orignal question.
Is it enough to treat interlocuters as "possible persons" or do we need to at least believe the other is an actual person in order to speak meaningfully?
