Android Phone? There’s a Bigger Market for the OS

Thanks to the Archos 5 Internet Tablet, you can have video playback and web browsing - and use Android, as well. I ran into Charbax during the LeWeb conference in Paris last week. He asked me if I'd like to check one of these out, so that I can finally use Android (and an Archos!) myself. I'm more than grateful to them for providing this unit to me ...

@blowtell3 That’s one stupid comment.. Why would you hold the device and having it shaking around the screen all the time as he moves, plus blocking the view of the screen, when you got a perfectly good stand? And hes not the one with Britney videos on his channel. Queer.

the horrible reviews probably come from either ipod trend-lovers or people who are trying to run way too many apps on it at once (for the ones who complain about crashing issues)

Attack Of The Show (AOTS) on G4 did a review on the Archos 5. it didnt get that good of a rating.

theres an app for the droid to watch flash videos so you can watch redtube, youporn et ALL THE PORN YOU WANT lol

they have updated, but they withdrew the 1.6 fw b/c of wifi issues and it’s rootable

the headbox dont work after 2 months
you have to press the shell to make it work
every hour hanging 2-3 times
Fm-Transmitter only usable with Headset
Radio dont work good
The new firmware help not for the crashes
and scrolling is very bad
Archos are cheap and support are is unfriendly
